About My Time Within ACLC
Throughout my academic journey I have been able to learn new ways of taking and processing new information. I have also learned new techniques to apply what I have learned through out my years of learning. With my high school experience sharpening those skills to a higher level within the Alameda Community learning center. With the time in quarantine helping me better my skills the most and develop new skills at the same time.
My first year within the Alameda Community Learning Center (ACLC) I had a lot of classes that had me working and interacting with, at the time, my new peers. So alongside bettering my academic skills I also had to better my listening and speaking skills. As the year went on I also had to learn how to correctly plan out my time since in the first year I had basically all my periods filled with a class. By the end of that year I had a pretty good understanding of how to use those skills.
My next year with ACLC was my junior year, which took place during the pandemic. I had to use some of the skills I had worked on the previous year and bloom some new ones too. Out of the new skills I had to have during the pandemic, the one I flourished the most was being able to adapt to any piece of technology that was available to me. Although that skill was valuable it was not as valuable as the Listening and speaking skills I had started to develop my first year within ACLC.
My final year here at ACLC has not concluded just yet at the time I write this reflection of my time at the school. However enough time has passed to where I can notice the skills I continue to use from previous years and new ones I am improving upon. As this year comes to an end I hope to these new skills will be fairly mastered and ready to be used. So that I can use them alongside the other skills I have built up.
As my reflection upon the time I spent at ACLC I realize how far I have come and grown as a person. I believe this school has changed me for the better. So as my final year at this school comes to a close I can confidently say I feel prepared and ready for the real world.
